South-sea pearl
It is sourced from the South Sea in tropical landscapes such as Australia, Burma and Indonesia. The size of this pearl ranges from 10 to 20 mm and with the size of the pearls, the price is relatively high.
Akoya pearl
Akoya pearls are round pearls ranging in size from 2 to 10 mm. Akoya pearls will have a noticeably smoother and rounder surface than other types of pearls.
Tahitian pearl
It is a fairly large pearl found in the French Polynesian Islands and ranges from light gray to black, green and purple. Tahitian pearls are costly because of their beauty and unique colors.
Mabi pearl
It is a hemispherical pearl that grows with a mother of pearl. It looks like a semicircle. Suitable for making earrings and rings with a flat back.
Freshwater pearl
They are found on many beaches and rivers around the world. They are easily cultivated in many countries, including Thailand. It has less luster than other types of pearls and has a wider variety of shapes. This type of pearl is therefore much cheaper.
